1. Instrument Hire Agreement

According to the terms and conditions of this agreement, Central Coast Instrument Hire agrees to hire the described instrument to yourself, and you agree to pay for and look after the instrument for the designated hire period.

2. Instrument Hire Collection and Return

Central Coast Instrument Hire will notify you when your instrument is available for collection and pick up will be at an arranged time between Central Coast Instrument Hire and yourself, from 60 Dwyer Street North Gosford.

Once the instrument hire is no longer required or where a return of the instrument has been requested by Central Coast Instrument Hire, the instrument must be returned to 60 Dwyer Street North Gosford at an arranged time between Central Coast Instrument Hire and yourself. Failure to return the instrument on time will result in further hire charges becoming liable.

Where the instrument isn’t returned, you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the instrument, as determined by Central Coast Instrument Hire and according to current market prices at the time.

3. Payments

Instruments are hired out in 6 monthly blocks and payment for each block needs to be made promptly and by the due date on the invoice to ensure continuous hire.

The initial payment for the first 6 monthly block will need to be made prior to collection of your instrument from Central Coast Instrument Hire.

Should you have difficulty making any payments on time, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the possibility of an alternate payment plan. Payment plans are not automatically available, however at the sole discretion of Central Coast Instrument Hire, may be made available under certain circumstances.

Failure to contact us AND/OR failure to make future payments on time will result in the instrument needing to be returned to or collected by Central Coast Instrument Hire. Where the instrument is unable to be recovered, the customer will be liable for the full replacement cost of the instrument, as determined by Central Coast Instrument Hire and according to current market prices at the time.

Where payment is required for any repairs or servicing to the instrument you are hiring (please see sections on “Instrument Servicing” and “Damage to or Loss of Instrument” below), payment in full will need to be made prior to the instrument being returned to you after servicing/repairs.

4. Instrument Care

Once the instrument is collected by you from Central Coast Instrument Hire, it is your responsibility to ensure proper and regular care is taken to look after the instrument to keep it in the condition it was hired in.

Information on how to look after your instrument is provided on our website at https://centralcoastinstrumenthire.com/instructional-videos/ and/or upon collection of your instrument, or if you are unsure, please contact us for further advice.

Failure to regularly care for your instrument may result if further charges becoming liable where additional servicing is deemed to be required due to a lack of regular cleaning and care.

5. Instrument Servicing

Should the instrument you are hiring require repair or servicing while in your possession, the instrument will need to be returned to Central Coast Instrument Hire to be serviced by one of our technicians.

The instrument is NOT to be taken directly to a repair/service centre by yourself, unless prior written consent from Central Coast Instrument Hire is received. Where this is not adhered to, the customer will be liable for all servicing costs AND any costs associated with rectifying any unauthorised repairs.

Where the servicing required is due solely to normal wear and tear of the instrument AND where the instrument has been returned to Central Coast Instrument Hire for service, the cost for servicing will be covered by the standard hire fees already paid or due to be paid, and no further charges will be required. Hire fees will still be payable during the period of time that the instrument is being serviced, as this is a normal part of instrument hire/ownership, unless the repairs or servicing needed is as a direct result of Central Coast Instrument Hire providing an instrument to you that is not in a playable condition.

Where the servicing or repairs are deemed to be required due to mishandling of the instrument or due to a lack of regular care and cleaning of the instrument, you will be liable for the repair and servicing costs and these will need to be paid prior to the instrument being returned to you. Failure to make payment on time will result in delays in the instrument being returned to you however this will not warrant a reduction in any current hire fees that are due or have already been paid.

6. Damage to or Loss of Instrument

Once the instrument is collected from Central Coast Instrument Hire you are responsible for the care of the instrument and liable for any damage to the instrument or for it’s loss.

DAMAGE
Should the instrument become damaged while in your possession, you will be liable for all repair costs required to restore the instrument back to the condition it was in when hired. All damaged instruments MUST be returned to the Central Coast Instrument Hire for assessment and repair by our own technicians. Instruments are NOT to be taken anywhere else for repair, without prior written consent from Central Coast Instrument Hire. Where this is not adhered to, you will be liable for any further repair costs required upon return of the instrument.

LOSS OF INSTRUMENT
If the instrument is lost while you are responsible for it’s hire, you will be liable for the full replacement cost of the instrument, as determined by Central Coast Instrument Hire and according to current market prices.
